Is it an episode or a condition?

Asking myself in the kitchen
Can it be healed with a pill
When you go through that thrill
Will it make you wonder
Since you try to ponder
About life and what’s beyond
Hit your head against the pond
In winter —

Asking myself on the street
Was it an episode of my youth
Why do I have an aching tooth
Or is it a condition
That I make up with ambition
Can we agree on the latter
Doesn’t make it any better
With time —

Asking myself in the office
May I cancel my lunch again
There is not much to gain
Working through the sleepy hour
Dreaming of hunting the minotaur
Travelling far back in time
Trying to prevent some crime
Of the century —

Asking myself on the beach
Will I take the ship to the sea
Perhaps I can proudly agree
That I won’t loose my soul
When I take up this role
Of a sorry questioner
Resulting in refreshen her
Freedom —

Asking myself in the plane
Would I have seen those clouds
Without worrying or any doubts
After taking this tiny pill
I’m still wondering about the skill
That will haunt me forever
Even if I would forget the endeavour
Of trying.
