christmas comes         late tonight
I forgot how to dance
but the miracle         does happen
        anyway —

christmas might         be alright
if it gets a chance
rearrange the         misshaped lapin
        without delay —

christmas can         still be white
outside for the romance
when I decide         to tap in
        on the day.
