For another day goes by
Furniture and candles
Breathing memories let’s try
Forget about our scandals —

Substitute for reason say
Spotlights and heartache
Have you seen the news today?
Is another life at stake? —

Sometimes I do wonder why
Torture and heartbreak
Can you hear the nightlife sigh:
Let’s settle for a handshake —

Virtually to take of course
Friendship and arguments
The stars above us won’t endorse
The liar who swore innocence.
