Pictures one day appear
On a hidden wall
Behind blind eyes
They are drawn with camel hair
And dust of lapislazuli
Pictures of water
Peaceful waves
Of a boat reaching home
The walls of Ithaka
»Who’s that sailor?« they asked
»It is nobody,« he answered
So they traveled themselves
And reached lands
Several moons later
It was only then
When they realized
They wouldn’t sail back home
But they got
Lapislazuli
With them
So they drew
Pictures on a hidden wall
Behind blind eyes
Before the Sirens sang.
