{ PANdemic MOOd EGGs }

While there have been helicopters
Circling again all day
Back and forth at the sky
Above the city
To observe stupid COVID-19 deniers
It’s boring already
It’s frustrating
Because nothing will change
Until September
I’m afraid —

While the helicopters have been circling
I was demonstrating, too
Showing my need for social distancing
Showing my ability to run with my mask on
Walking my daily walk
Coming home again
Feeling hungry —

While the helicopters have been still circling
Not too far from my flat
I put three eggs into the pan
And purely accidentally
I swear
Those eggs created a smile(y) for me.
