Who am I?

In my dream I walk along an empty street
Feeling empty
Being alone

Where am I?
Who am I?

In this nightmare I can sense the storm before the calm
I know there’s something coming
And I want to stand still
But I’m moving forward
And I know what’s coming
Is coming right towards me

Where am I?
Who am I?

There is blood onto the tarmac
It’s a poodle
And in it there lies a body
It’s not me
I don’t know who he is
He’s not dead yet
But he’s breathing hard

Where am I?
Who am I?

I’m not moving anymore
I’m frozen
Standing still
Can’t move my eyes away from the breathing
Up and down
Up and down
I don’t know what’s bringing me back to life
But there it is:
The street is gone
There are the walls again
On all six sides of my body

Where am I?
Trapped
Who am I?
Nobody.
