stupidity makes the headaches grow

it’s always easy to forget
about the history
when it’s people like you and them
it’s always easy for the rat
to pick up the waste
when it’s against people like me —

Being tired isn’t giving up. It’s about recollecting thoughts, rearranging ideas, experiences, positions in life. There are the usual crossroads that you only recognise when you are standing, pausing for a while. Taking a breath. Then you see: there are possibilities, not just the career or that one single goal, you thought, life had been all about.

Being inspired isn’t always great. That flush of ideas and pictures and creativity can put you into more stress than following the path of a straight-forward nine-to-five job. There are nightshifts – as of right now. My head aches; I haven’t been outside today. That’s why my head aches. Because tomorrow is Monday again. Already. I’ve got eight text orders in my pocket. Only finished two a few hours ago.

You might say: come on, boy, it’s Sunday, take a break, gift yourself a rest. Enjoy at least a few hours of quiet life in a park nearby. Maybe on a cemetary. Pay the people a visit that you didn’t have the pleasure to meet during their lifetime. Read a book. Try to finally try your hands on a painting. Mixed-media collaging? Or just listening to music?

One hour before midnight the regrets about the past day grow. Even if it’s just a Sunday. Maybe because I have read too much negativity on Social Media. Could be another reason for the headaches. Humanity always moves backwards. It’s the single persons who move us forward. But it’s the masses that drop our empathy and intelligence level far below zero. It’s mind-blowing of how much egoism and stupidity human beings are capable of.

I’m tired right now. But I know, within one hour I’ll be awake and cannot sleep. Because thinking about unfulfilled tasks makes me thinking even further.

Can someone please invent a button for putting that stupid brain out of work? And another button for putting it right on in human beings who don’t feel the need for using it!

darkness swept over the sea
there is nothing more important than history
don’t blame the ones who don’t know
teach them, make them grow.
