the weekend went
and won’t come back
I’ve crossed borders
but no-one knew
temperature falls below zero
I still used nature as a toilet
the streets were bad
but the car drivers friendly
bicyclists nodded to each other
there you are
I’ve seen you before
it wasn’t me
it doesn’t matter
now it’s you
and this is what counts
I wish it was like this
where I went to again
when the weekend closed it’s doors
making space for another working phase
it’s too long this
and too less time what I just did
discovering other people
shouldn’t be done in holidays
there needs to be an extra week
when you need to go to another country
cross the border with your bicycle
or your feet
talk at least to five people
make friends with a bird
greet everyone with a nod
or hello in the respective language
and try taking something with you
when you head back to your country
not just images on your mobilephone
but actual human behaviour
when meeting strangers
or foreigners
because when you cross borders
you become a foreigner as well
unfortunately
some behave in foreign lands
like they were at home
leave this colonialistic rubbish
where it belongs
in the dump of history.

“Not just images in your mobilephone.” Lovely. Lots of good energy in these verses.

Thanks for reading and commenting. Yeah, sometimes I try to submit good and positive vibes, mostly observations and suggestions, no advices.
