green means hope
if you look around
green is the main colour
even if you live in a big city
there are gardens and single trees
green means life
also poison from time to time
but this is just
self-defence
never active
always on the receiving end
the target
that bites back
and will be the winner
after the fight
when the dust settles
when the sun rises again
there will be a new day
with golden light
and emerald leaves

we will see the future
but keep the past in our minds

then my heart shines
it won’t hurt back
what kept me awake at night
when it’s out of sight
it’s put to bed
but not forgotten

green is the answer
when we ask for tomorrow

who wants the sorrow
keep running your toes blue.
