we happened to be a progressed people
ready for challenges
ready to help each other —

or was it just a dream?
a mirage unseen?
just felt?
imagined?
hoped for?
an illusion?
a nightmare?

we should continue to move forward again
turning our heads and minds
from the cellphone screens back
towards the real world
recognizing for ourselves
what’s good and wrong
instead of being told
by the algorithms
and the starlinks
polluting our night sky —

this is a human speaking
not some generated mind
without emotion or reason —

this is reality speaking
if we won’t turn back
future will turn its back
on us.
