tell me about your reason to move
you could stay at home your whole life
sometimes I wonder
why people offer themselves to the public
when they are inside their mobile phones anyway
there were people – young ones –
who were hit by a train by accident
they never left their second life
which was their first life possibly —
while I try to write in sentences
there is a hot steaming tea waiting for me
in the kitchen
two doors away from here
I need to get up from my comfortable place on the sofa
where I’m sitting in front of my laptop
that isn’t sitting on my lap
but on the brown table in front of the sofa
where I’m trying to write in sentences —
tell me about the river you crossed
in your memory and in your dreams
do you still feel the sensation of discovering
wetness and dryness all at once
smelling salty air with eyes closed
seeing again and looking into the night
discovering images of stars in the water
clearer and more obvious than
on the other side of the river —
don’t look any further
I’m still here watching you fall
you can’t see anything but you may sense
someone standing behind you moving
closer to your shivering skin
don’t you stop breathing
close your eyes and focus your vision
prepare to make a decision
where to go —
tell me about the light you send
safety will feel empty at some point
humans always destroy what they sow
out of boredom, I guess
and so they take one step after the other
and don’t even realize
how they move back instead of forward
out of the darkness there cometh light
is nothing but a myth.
