just another day goes by without thinking about rain
someone does barbecue on the river shores
the smell of burned meat neatly flies in the Elbe valley
from a bridge nearby, it looks like a burning mess

two hours before
on the other side of it all
a little boy is throwing matchboxes out of a window
with as much passion
as I’m driving my bicycle around every corner
and right here
to the old Bauhaus building
that was supposedly open today
because it’s a special day today
some historical sights
usually closed to the public
are opening today
and the old Bauhaus bath was one of it
before the new owner decided
no, I don’t want anymore

is he called Elon Musk by chance?

I wouldn’t be surprised
the whole world seemed to sell their soul to this charlatan
so why not our old monuments
our history
at least, the history of eastern germany
that doesn’t count anyway
so, let’s sell
but don’t tell anyone
anything about it
especially not what is planned
and if someone wants to see the inside

        just give a little boy one dollar
        so he will throw matchboxes
        out of his window

                just give a stupid man one dollar
                so he will use his matchbox
                for a barbecue in the Elbe valley

everything is quiet on the eastern front
until next year
for the elections.
