don’t fear
        what’s in the future

                                the living
                                        are dead way longer than they live

        what’s in the past

                                the dead
                                        lie peacefully beneath us

don’t fear
        what’s troubling every mind

                                the ghosts
                                        just appear for religious holidays

don’t fear
        what’s in the dark

                                the shadows
                                        of the night are equal to the day

don’t fear
        what’s behind the first step

                                when no-one’s taking it
                                        fear will last forever.
