while the idiots run our planet
our morals flushed down the
toilets of our kingdoms
while the floods appear
in every country
on every shore
at any time
while social media
well
was it ever social
while the wealthy buy the poor
talking them down at the same time
while the algorithms tell us
what to do
what to buy
what to know
whom to hate
while the wars pop up on our maps
another one
at any other day
while they laugh about the show
that appears on the screens
we think too much
and talk to little
        and still we hope
that everything will
somehow
doesn’t turn out as bad
as expected.
