just a little bit of excitement
is the reason to be alive
still searching for the other one
the peace after the hurricane
the soft wind blowing over golden corn —

whatever makes me think isn’t plain
it’s the complicated issues underneath
the surface teaches me nothing
we need to dig deep to find diamonds
still there are people who just buy them —

there are miracles when we don’t wait
when we continue to walk our path
enjoying peace when we already know
there will certainly be another storm
wouldn’t be very wise —

sometimes we should be thankful
that our life on earth is limited
not just for us but also for them
those who think life is power over others
and those who struggle just don’t work enough —

sometimes the wisest we can do is wait
enjoying the tiny things in life
when the big ones are limited
not reachable but also not needed
because life is so much more —

coming into life for trouble
searching food for thoughts in society
putting into words what’s going wrong
trying to reach out for associates
finding a way to put right the wrong.
