Sonnet #72: Pub Choc

It’s chocolate drinking time on colder days
The evening’s appearing sooner now
Collectively we flee the working maze
But what is freedom; can you tell me how?

Sonnet #70: Crisis

Those times are crying for some kind of crisis
The climate changes and the days get worse
Imagine noon and food without some spices
Meanwhile this generation acts diverse

Sonnet #69: Brücken

Verbinden, was allein nur kleiner ist
Die Brücken dieser Stadt verschlingen Kosten
Wenn Ostrost sich hinein und weiter frisst
Beklagt Carola ihren nassen Posten

Sonnet #68: Journey

We come and go on our journey home
Along the rivers north and south the border
We leave the comfort zone we just came from
And recognise the joy of last night’s order

Sonnet #67: Cat

She is the queen of distant past and future
Within her memory, she’s seen it all
She’s got a shiny, fluffy fur to die for
She’s always pride and therefore prone to fall

Sonnet #66: Dog

He is the leader of the weakest pack
His female human is his only focus
Apart maybe his favourite healthy snack
It’s not depending on a special locus

Sonnet #65: Krähenzeit

Die Krähen sehnen schon das fette Aas
Das einst die Menschheit hinterlassen wird
Denn sie vermisst schon lang das rechte Maß
Die Hirne scheinen jeden Tag verwirrt

Sonnet #64: Phases

There is a certain time for everything
But when the cruel clock is ticking backwards
When fancy makes the noise of cloud ka-ching
There’s hardly anything for kind rewards

Sonnet #63: Aussetzung

Nur ausgesetzt erleben wir die Welt
Der Tag beginnt in heiterer Umnachtung
Wie lebten wir, wenn alles nur gefällt
Das Schöne generiert sich aus Verachtung
