Sonnet #72: Pub Choc

It’s chocolate drinking time on colder days
The evening’s appearing sooner now
Collectively we flee the working maze
But what is freedom; can you tell me how?
Let’s have a sunset strike the railroad clouds
We’re riding without wisdom through a storm
The inner circle makes us weak and shouts
Their eyes grow darker and their hearts do harm
We feel the sweetness of the chocolate drink
The pub gets crowded with the sinking sun
What’s freedom, vanishes within a blink
When drinkers sing: just wanna have fun
We’re moving towards darker winter time
Just chocolate in a pub makes us sublime.
