He always left the escape door wide open
To flee the scene as soon as struggles grew
Sometimes he tried to face a case with coping
But in his mind was left what he went through
My history will always be a part
That follows me wherever I might go
My past hangs motionless above at last
My head, he said, will always take a blow
That war I went through took my biggest fear
Of facing love in unexpected ways
Since then my life appeared without frontier
My escape door has been this burning blaze
        Not breaking when first love stays unrequited
        It is the path of life that will be lighted.
