My eyeballs are moving left to right and back
    when I’m laying back —

They are always in motion
    like my mind —

Moving back and forth
    my eyeballs are rolling
    inside their cave —

They struggle in darkness
    when I close my eyes —

So they are trapped
    but they can’t unsee —

All the input
    the distractions
    the ads
    and the cuts —

The absurdity of pictures —

In laying back and closing my eyes
    I want for my eyeballs to recover —

They need to discover
    that darkness isn’t distraction —

Darkness is freedom.
