Exhibition 1977

Why did you come here?

Perhaps you have seen my social link sharing on Mastodon, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn or Pixabay? Did you come across some poetry on your Google, Bing, Yahoo search? Have you clicked on my profile picture under several other WordPress blogs? Feel free to comment here. And for the spammers out there who come and comment to somehow sell their SEO skills to me: Forget it. I could do it myself if I want to. But I’m happy to enjoy a few people who find this site on their own – actively looking it up. Instead of dragging some anonymous spammers to my site for click rates.

Why did I come here?

It’s been a few years now. I started with this very blog in 2017. I’ve had several others on WordPress since 2010. I’ve posted here and there, initially here to start writing poetry. I hated poems in school. But I kind of like them now – basically since I’m writing my own. Don’t read any arrogance into it. It’s just the way it is. I like what I’m writing – most of it. And what’s wrong about sharing it to the world on my own? Some people might like it, too. Some others might connect. Some don’t like my writing. But that’s okay as well. Nobody likes everything.

Again: why did I come here?

I see, you mean tonight! Well, I’ve got a new WordPress blog that collects and connects to a few things I came across in the last couple of weeks. First: there are so many photographs in my mobile phone that I’m not sharing or having shared before. I could post them on Instagram but for some reason, I hesitate to gift my copywright rights to a huge data collector. Second: I always wanted to do my own exhibition where nothing is explained just shown. Third: I discovered this great WordPress theme called Common that’s perfect for virtual exhibitions. Fourth: I finally wanted to give the blogging style of WordPress a chance and myself to learn it.

Where’s the exhibition?

I’m so glad that you asked! Simply head over to the Exhibition 1977. Have a look, dive into the images and tiny poems. But make up your own mind: Create stories, discover hidden details, ask me, comment, like, share. Or just look and enjoy. It’s all up to you. Because also the Exhibition 1977 is just my personal playground where I try to offer a little structure to my creations.
