Sonnet #59: Dogmatics

The clouds roll out emotions left in space
My cemetery walk accepts dark matters
Some people leave their life without a trace
The church is more concerned about dogmatics
While politicians represent their own
Their people still believe they serve the state
Humility up there is rarely shown
When well-fed citizens react with hate
For in the depths of sorrow we may find
A strength within to rise above the strife
To leave behind the shadows of the mind
Will teach important lessons for your life
Though clouds may linger, casting doubt and fear
We will survive, don’t ever waste a tear.
