freedom for the prize of guilt
of being a journalist
of sharing the bitter truth with the world
against a so-called democracy
what actually is a lobbicracy
crazy for money
lazy and slow for the freedom of others
spending for parties
abusing under-agers
using weapons to control the people
hiding what could create riots
revolts
insurrections —

keeping the people unwise
celebrating dumbness
manifesting plutocracy

but is he actually free at last
or trapped in his thoughts forever
of being a scapegoat
what for
against what
the powers that be
the mighty men
who act as mighty
but are actually just shameless as cockroaches
one of them approaches god
who opens his arms
hugs him with all his charms
whispering at him
you’ve been making me proud down there.
