Night Rider

the black reaches my brain
not this again
I keep telling myself
don’t you swallow the colours

the weekend went
and won’t come back
I’ve crossed borders
but no-one knew

of course, it’s hot / again / just another day goes by without thinking about rain / someone does barbecue on the river shores

Are we here
To do something stupid
Or to wait
For a miracle?

I’m feeling fresh
I’m feeling fine
More freedom around my neck
These days

running against brick walls no more
walking just on
around corners
having my bags with me

They appear like a plague
One day after the Ides of March
Early morning

Back again
Where it all began
Where it all ended
Where the future started

Crawling through the gates of freedom
Sneaking back to hold your breath
Shadows in the trees unfolding
While the memories tend to fade

On my daily morning bicycle ride / After a lot of try and error
I have somehow found a route / That suits me fine
