Looking bravely into the mirror
Asking the mind
What do you see?

Is it the future
Is it the past
Is there something
That might possibly last?

Looking at the reflection
Is there affection
Of a tiny form
Tell me mind
Or do I just see
The growing storm?

Reality reflects the image
Of a distant past
That’s still memory
Imprinted deeply
It will last
Of course
That history

Some might say
Herstory
Isn’t my identity
But it belongs to me
As long as this reflection
Looking back at me.
