Sonnet #24: War

When language’s heating up through old white men
The danger grows that escalation’s been
A calculated puzzle piece again
The planning of a war we could have seen
The other morning comes and war broke out
One secret service leader of Cold War
Creates some reason for the fight out loud
Roar cannons over Kyiv near and far
Another night goes by and dawn appears
The bloated ministrant of KGB
Is kept alive by smelling others’ fears
But to his cloudy mind he lost the key
United with Ukraine the world is standing
The Russian tyranny will stop expanding.
